Had a pint of Nut Brown at Distihl this evening. Beer was served too cold, but tasted pretty good once it warmed some. Noticeable bitterness (especially when cold), but as it warmed the malt came through. One of my favorites so far from Distihl.
My beertender (Matt - a home brew dude) told me the Mild that was originally on was supposed to be the Nut Brown.
Still on are the barley wine (rounding out some and better once warmed up a little) and the dunkel weizen. Matt told me there's some of the barley wine in a whiskey barrel tucked in the brewery and a doppelbock in the tanks.
I love having our own (decent, real) brewpub!!
