Just wanted to share my joy in brewing my first beer! A friend has been telling me to try brewing for some time and I just got around to it. My fiance and I brewed last night - a European Bock kit beer - and it was quite easy overall. We had made a nice little wort cooler, but unfortunately one of the fittings leaked a bit too much, so we just tub cooled it. I also forgot to take an OG reading (I did it today - about 14 hours after) and my notes were crap - but I'll blame that on the "relax, drink a home brew" advice.
