My fiance's brother came over tonight and brought with him an old very close friend that recently moved back into town. He spent a good amount of time in Dublin, and is a big Jameson and Guinness fan. He was there for work, and spent a good deal of time in the pubs and became a big fan of the lovely Guinness.

After trying a glass of the stout i brewed that I have on tap, he said it's the closest thing to the real Guinness he's tasted since he left there! I wasn't shooting for that, just a good tasting stout, but it was nice to hear!

The funny thing is though, I'm trying to finish this one up so I can put the Young's Double Chocolate Stout clone I brewed in it's place on the stout faucet! Tried a bottled conditioned one out of the batch and it was wonderful!

is one of the best things a homebrewer can hear.

For the record I will second that comment in regard to your stout!
