Do we know what's happening during our April meeting? I just bottled my experimental wheat beer and would like to have some of the members try out my 5 varieties to get some feedback, but if we have some relatively long technical presentations or large style samplings I'll save it for another meeting... _________________ "Prohibition makes you want to cry into your beer and denies you the beer to cry into."

Ben the technical presentation & the beer style of the month are basic elements of every monthly meeting. If you would like to share some of your brew's with other club members for their opinions please feel free to in the social portion at the end of the meeting. _________________ The Czar

Or I'll host a beer sampling session. I like opinions too, and I'm sure several others out there do or would also. So, why not make a party out of it?
Let me know, if there's interest I'll have a bonfire beer tasting/feedback party in the next few weeks. _________________ On Tap:

Yes, I was intending on doing so. I just wanted to try to pick a relatively short meeting, so as to not run too far past the normal meeting end time.
Anyway, a "bonfire beer tasting/feedback party" sounds fantastic, so I'll hold onto my beer for that sort of event.

Well the weather is turning, well, I thought it was until I woke up and saw snow!
Anyway, I've been looking for an excuse to have a party, now I have one. I'll get a date set soon and send it out to all the Abnormal Members via email.
Admission will be beer, homebrew preferred but a nice micro will do in a pinch! _________________ On Tap:

It would be nice if the homebrew sharing was part of the meeting instead of a free-for-all after the regular meeting.

I think if the homebrew that is brought is the same as the style presentation it could easily be mixed in. I've noticed the social time seems to be the favorite for a lot of folks. _________________ On Tap:

I mentioned to Fred that the beer of the month should be posted out at least 6 months in advance. That would give members time to brew a beer that they could present.
I belonged to the St. Louis Brews Club, where they posted the beer of the month out to a year in advance. It was great to hear members present their beers, review recipes, discuss challenges, and brewing techniques. Personally, I learned a lot from hearing others talk about their brewing sessions.
